Fully Funded Training Opportunities in Healthcare

JCC Workforce Solutions is excited to share a fully funded training opportunity available to individuals in your service area through the Caring Gene Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program. This program offers full coverage for tuition and books for those new to or advancing their careers in one of 13 approved health, behavioral health, and social care fields in New York State. Jefferson Community College’s workforce training programs that lead to careers as pharmacy technicians and clinical medical assistants are eligible for The Caring Gene® CPT.  Participants are not required to complete FAFSA or TAP, as this is a non-credit training program.
 
To qualify, individuals must:
 

• Commit to a three-year service agreement with a healthcare, behavioral health, or social care provider in NYS serving at least 30% Medicaid/uninsured patients.
• Complete their training by Spring 2027 and fulfill the service requirement by 2031.

Counties in Region 2 eligible for CPT funding include:

Albany, Broome, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, St. Lawrence, Tioga, Tompkins, Warren, and Washington.
