To Life is committed to providing education and support services to breast cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends.
Education Forums -
Throughout the year To Life! offers educational programs on a variety of topics such as: surgical options, oncology, drug therapy, clinical trials, exercise and nutrition, family issues and support, genetic testing and counseling, life after treatment, and more. Topics are presented from the perspective of cancer survivors and are relevant to those currently in treatment and post treatment, as well as clinicians, caregivers, family and friends.
Support and Mentoring -
The first days, weeks and months following a cancer diagnosis can be challenging. Staff, and breast cancer survivors who are volunteer mentors, are a first line resource offering compassionate one-on-one support, timely information and guidance accessible at critical times.
Wellness Programs -
To Life! is dedicated to empowering women to improve their overall health and wellbeing,and to
giving women navigating breast cancer the tools and resources to better manage the long-term effects.including:
exercise and movement, nutrition related and energy healing.
Breast Health Workshops -
To Life! offers a workshop curriculum that includes valuable information about breast anatomy and health, breast cancer risk factors and risk reduction, genetics, self-breast exams, the importance of early detection and, breast cancer screening guidelines. Workshops are offered to businesses, students, community groups and other community settings.
Brain Fog (aka Chemo Brain)
- If you’ve had cancer treatment, chances are you feel the aftereffects in the form of brain fog, or “chemo brain.”
