Two Appointed to To Life! Board of Directors
DELMAR-- To Life!, a local not-for-profit organization providing breast cancer support services and women’s health education is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors, Jennifer Massey and Tara O’Keefe. To Life!, is a community-based, independent nonprofit organization that provides education and support services for people affected by breast cancer in the Capital Region.
Jennifer Massey, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, EA-CSTM brings over 30 years of executive experience as an entrepreneur, innovator, and strategic visionary. As the founder of Integra HR, LLC, Jennifer has built a thriving business grounded in a genuine passion for helping others. She holds a Business Management degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, multiple HR certifications, and is a certified Employee Assistance Coaching Specialist, DiSC® facilitator, and Mental Health First Aid provider.
Her early career in human services reaffirmed her commitment to community impact—a commitment she carries through Integra’s “Give Back & Impact” program supporting vulnerable populations. Jennifer has also served on numerous boards and committees and was an elected member of the Board of Education. A North Greenbush resident, Jennifer is the proud mother of two daughters and is especially passionate about breast cancer education and support after the loss of her 38-year-old sister to the disease.
Tara O’Keefe, a breast cancer survivor, was honored at Siena College’s Annual Pink Zone Game in 2022 for her advocacy and courage. Professionally, Tara has spent the last decade working for the New York State Office of Mental Health Forensic Department, serving as a liaison between treatment teams and NYS Parole to oversee the state’s most dangerous sex offenders post-release.
Previously, she worked for Albany County Department of Mental Health as the Housing Coordinator, managing over 800 units of housing for adults with severe mental illness. Beyond her professional contributions, Tara is deeply engaged in her community—as a former soccer coach at local, premier, high school, and collegiate levels, and currently as a referee with the Capital District Youth Soccer League. She lives in Latham with her partner of 13 years, Sheryl, and their Golden Retriever, Samson. Together, they enjoy travel, time with family, and cheering on the Miami Dolphins.
“As we continue to see the need for our services increasing, I am honored to welcome Jennifer and Tara to our Board,” said Rita Cox, President of the Board of Directors. “Jennifer brings visionary leadership and a deep-rooted commitment to service. Tara brings both personal insight and professional strength in navigating complex systems of care. They will each enhance our Board as we work to increase access to our services throughout the Capital Region.”
Jennifer and Tara join a dedicated Board of professionals from healthcare, education, nonprofit, and business sectors. To learn more about the full Board of Directors, visit: https://tolife.org/about-us/board-directors.
