Collaborate with your peers and Friends of Five Rivers' beekeeper Nancy Conway during a week of hands-on experiences designed to explore the following topics: Honey bee anatomy\, metamorphosis\, and castes\; Colony life\, hive history\, wax and frame preparation\; Flower evolution\, honey creation\, and taste testing\; Signs of disease and pests\, future of honey bees\; Beekeeping equipment and hive inspections. Participants must be entering grades 6 to 12 in September.
