DESCRIPTION:Learn more about The Torch Awards for Ethics which is the most prestigious honor the Better Business Bureau can present to exceptional organizations for their dedication to integrity and ethical practices. It is an annual awards program that publicly recognizes organizations that have practices in place that elevate their commitment to ethical operations.\n\nLearn about the 2022 Torch Award for Ethics application process and the changes that have been made from years past. There will be time for a Q&A at the end of the session.\n\n\n\nThe Torch Awards is open to for-profit\, 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) non-profit organizations of all sizes located within BBB of Upstate New York's 48 county service areas.\n\n-BBB Accreditation is not required\n\n-For profit and 501(c)(6) applicants must have a "B" rating with BBB\n\n-501(c)(3) non-profit applicants must complete the Charitable Standards Evaluation process and meet all BBB Standards for Charity Accountability\n\n-Organizations must have been in business for three years\n\n-All financial obligations must be met\n\n-Applicants are not eligible if they have received the Torch Award in the past five years\n\n-Government agencies are not eligible to submit an application\n\n\n\nFor more information\, reach out to Lauren Kirchmyer at 716-276-3707 or lkirchmyer@upstatenybbb.org.
