Wear Red Day

Wear Red Day raises awareness that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in America, and offers tools to fight it. Throughout the Capital Region, 44 buildings will ‘glow’ red to show their support of the fight for improved heart health in women. State landmarks like the Capitol and the Empire State Plaza are among those glowing red. We’ll be providing Hands-Only CPR demonstration and instructions to change the statistic that 9 out of 10 people who suffer sudden cardiac arrest don’t survive. The Women of Impact, Teens of Impact and Men Go Red for Women campaigns will bring a local focus to the fight for improved heart health.
