Engineering Internship (Up to 2 positions, Paid)
The Town of Bethlehem is seeking candidates for two paid engineering internships in our Department of Public Works, Engineering Division.
Paid internships are designed to give college level engineering track students practical experience in municipal engineering. A combination of field and office assignments will be primarily focused on water, wastewater, stormwater management and highway disciplines. Interns will work alongside staff in the Engineering Division to inspect facilities such as stormwater outfalls and construction sites for regulatory compliance. Interns will use electronic field collection methods including iPads and survey grade GPS equipment. Office work includes assisting engineering staff with a wide range of tasks. AutoCAD/Civil3D and ArcGIS software will be routinely used.
Previous experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D is preferred but not a prerequisite for this position. Candidate must be enrolled in an engineering program. Civil or environmental engineering major is preferred.
Internship requires a Driver’s license.
Job Type: Temporary, 37-1/2 hour week, 10-week minimum commitment.
