| The Town of Bethlehem, New York is seeking a new team member to work at our Wastewater/Sewer Treatment Facilities in Selkirk, NY. The titles being considered for this appointment are Sewage Treatment Plant Operator and Treatment Plant Operator Trainee. The title to be selected will be based upon the selected candidate’s prior experience and operator’s license status. All titles are full-time, with 40 hours per week, and periodic overtime associated with being on-call and for time sensitive work as needed at the facility. Minimum Qualifications: Sewage Treatment Plant Operator: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; completion of an appropriate course of instruction approved by the Public Health Council; and not less than twelve (12) months of approved operating experience. Possession of a Grade IIA Certificate. CDL class “B” is required within 1 year of starting date. Current salary range for this title is: $56,618 - $68,446 Sewage Treatment Plant Operator Trainee: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma. Possession of a Grade IIA Certificate.
